This year’s Billboard Music Awards included two performances in honor of music legends Whitney Houston and Donna Summer, performed by Jordin Sparks and John Legend and Natasha Bedingfield. (MTV News)

The tributes were in the midst of the upbeat performances by Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen.
